Scientific committee

The Scientific Committee has been assembled at the beginning of July 2008. First rate personalities of the world of contemporary art form this board, to which Basilicata Region assign the task of identifying the artists to be involved in the project.

The Scientific Committee, that pledge the international relevance and the high quality of the event, is presided by Mario Cristiani (president of Arte Continua Association) and constituted by Vincente Todolì (director of London Tate Modern Gallery), Emanuele Montibeller (art director of ArteSella), Catterina Seia (UniCredit & Art manager), Laura Barreca (designated by Ministry for Arts and Culture), Gianpiero Perri (director of Basilicata Regional Promotion Agency) and by Giuseppe Cosenza, Davide Rossi, Nicola Ferri and Vincenzo Vitale, all experts of the area and members of ArtePollino Association.
They expect the artworks to be thought and realized specifically for Pollino environment thanks to an interaction of the artists with local reality with the aim of connecting artists to those symbolic, historical and anthropological suggestions coming from the area also by developing participative activities, workshops, seminars and training.
