Claudia Losi's work embraces a kaleidoscope of projects that embody a concept of art conceived as "work in progress" and continuing over time, shunning defined, concluded forms. The light quality that characterizes her works poetically translates the world's riches and complexity, in search of the extraordinary aspect that lies behind what appear to be the commonest things, their organic rocesses of change, growth, and transformation. Her relationship with science and interest in nature, which have always been key in her work, focused her attention on "walking" as an artistic practice and ideal instrument for elaborating her emotional and analytical reflections on the landscape. In 1998 Claudia Losi undertook a series of group projects based on the involvement of other persons that have frequently been engaged to execute embroidery.
